We got tired of applying to jobs the hard way

A couple of years ago, one of us was deep in a job search and doing the math: a good application takes 20 to 40 minutes, and to get a handful of interviews you need to send dozens. So you sit down, and you do it. Again. And again. And again.

After a few hundred applications, the pattern was impossible to ignore. Every listing wanted the same information typed into a slightly different form. You rewrite the same resume for the tenth time, hunting for the keywords the posting cares about. You copy and paste your work history into Workday for what feels like the 40th time, re-entering the exact dates a PDF you already uploaded clearly contains. The work wasn't hard. It was just soul-crushingly repetitive, and it had nothing to do with whether you were actually good at the job.

So we started automating our own applications. A script here to autofill a form, a prompt there to tailor a resume bullet to a specific role. It worked embarrassingly well. Friends asked to use it. Then friends of friends. It became obvious this shouldn't be a private hack, it should be a product that anyone job hunting could install and trust.

That's how Job Autopilot came together, built under the GoClickLess umbrella, our small AI automation studio.
